The Company
As a fully integrated part of Gruppo Industriale Tosoni, FAR Systems S.p.A. is today a leading player in electronic systems for rail transport, the environment and building. The company operates from two separate sites, one located in Villafranca di Verona (VR) that hosts the Transport Division, and the other in Rovereto (TN), home to the Building Division and the Infrastructure & Environment Division, including the Automation Division.
Transport Division
This division operates in the railway industry, specifically designing, supplying and installing high-tech on-board systems and devices, for driver assistance, critical data measurement (black box), communication, on-board automation, rail safety, energy saving and passenger information.
FAR Systems has installed more than 6,000 systems, with over 50,000 on-board devices currently used worldwide.

Construction Division
This division, on the other hand, deals with design and development of "turnkey" solutions in the heavy construction and infrastructure industries, with special focus on the environment, renewable energy, energy efficiency and sustainable architecture. The Division’s core business is in fact the development of high-tech and at the same time environmentally-friendly applications; these include building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), architectural LED lighting, mini wind power systems, building automation and energy management. In the Automation area the company develops HW and SW solutions for the control of industrial cycles and web-based remote supervision services for the environment and smart agriculture. Significant commitment is also made to Infrastructure projects, through the design and development of photovoltaic noise barriers and canopies. The Division’s Service Centre moreover provides services for computerised management of the water cycle and environmental monitoring networks, continuous and remote supervision of complex infrastructure, remote control and management of industrial systems, data acquisition and traffic monitoring systems, tunnels, purification systems and water mains.
